It helps to stop the spread, shrink existing tumors and remove remnants of the disease left after surgery. Palliative chemotherapy relieves symptoms like pain and is employed where odds of survival is bleak. Radiotherapy employs penetrating beams of extreme energy or particle streams. The process is called radiation and is usually used aggressively along with surgery. Mesothelioma treatment is thus a multifaceted strategy aimed to remove the cancer and alleviate distress.
